Now that the Clippers have agreed to a five-year, $65 million contract for two-time All-Star guard Baron Davis and two-time All-Star forward Elton Brand appears likely to sign a new contract with the team, perhaps it is time that the Lakers make a move on the Clippers’ other top-tier player.…

In the NBA’s version of the hot stove league, players are potentially on the move. If it’s anything like last summer (Kevin Garnett leaves the Timberwolves for the Celtics), what happens now could have a huge impact on next season. Which move could potentially have more…

Still waiting for the call about Andrew Bynum’s knee. Either the news isn’t good or his agent got caught up in making a trade with another client. We’ll let you know as soon as we know.

Hello, Chris. Come in, big fella. Let’s get right down to business. How are you going to help this team in 2008-2009? Those right ankle miseries have kept you down now for the better part of the past three years. It’s so disappointing, too, because when the Lakers acquired you from…

So Andrew Bynum’s agent is going for the maximum of $80 million in a contract extension. Gutsy call considering the young Lakers center is coming off knee surgery. How is that knee? We still are awaiting word.

While the Lakers and Ronny Turiaf’s agent continue their talks, the restricted free agent has been contacted by several teams, one being the Utah Jazz, according to agent Mark Bartelstein. The Jazz contacted Bartelstein earlier this week about the third-year forward, but the two sides have yet to…

Laker fans wanting to turn the rumors of the team’s interest in veteran shooting guard Brent Barry into reality need to slow their roll. Why? Because there needs to be no rush at all in getting back to the agent of a 36-year old player, whose days of playing substantial minutes, on a regular…

The Clippers landed the big fish of the free agent market, but, in the end, they’re still the Clippers. Or are they? Have they miraculously vaulted into one of the top rungs of the Western Conference? With Baron Davis, where will the Clippers finish in the Western…

That mean’s you Lakers fans. Because Ron Artest now is crying after seeing Elton Brand and Baron Davis put themselves on the free-agent market and not doing the same. Artest probably is reaching for the Kleenex box even more this morning after reading how Davis snagged $65 million from the…

Keith Langlois has a decent article about Walter Sharpe over at True Blue Pistons. Unfortunately, he also made the same mistake I’ve seen just about everybody make when talking about Sharpe: Sharpe’s college career consisted of 18 games, or roughly half of one of the four seasons Prince put…

This isn’t Pistons related, but it certainly changes the face of the East: the Raptors and Pacers have “agreed in principle” to swap T.J. Ford for Jermaine O’Neal. The Pacers will also receive Rasho Nesterovic as well as Toronto’s 17th overall pick. If this goes down,…

It'll be happening more and more in a post-Sam Tribune, but I've yet to get over the annoying twinge I feel when KC "who will be shopped" Johnson sneaks his opinions into a report. Deng and Gordon remain supremely confident players, and declining last year's lucrative offers was their…
